In the collective wisdom of our stakeholder community, the idea of the new Children's hospital is both inspired-and inspiring. Besides its prospects of success, it is both an expression of Nelson Mandela’s legacy to the well-being of children and represent the highest point in changing the way society caters for its youngest members on the health front.

The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (NMCF) is not only willing to shoulder this inspiring idea but also convinced that that the task, to bring into being a children’s hospital, will be easier to bear given the support that it has received from a broad spectrum of the sectors of the South African society and international solidarity organisations, groups and individuals. All are united to bring this inspiring idea into fruition.
