- Most children are being abused because of poverty the issues range from child labour, to quality education for all and health issues. Therefore they proposed the following resolutions about their country and what they would like to see the government and private sector commit themselves to this process.
- Free primary and secondary Education must be made equal and available for all, and that education for the deaf must be made a priority. An investment on further education needs to be drawn up whereby all private corporation especially organizations like the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) begins steering its resource to access to further education as a regional action plan.
- Communication between children and youth organizations needs to begin directing its voice to one common goal that all share and sharing information with leadership structure where they can have access by appointment when it comes to the children's budget in Zambia.
- Policy issues of child abuse, drugs, child labour, and wellbeing of the girl child, child reformat, HIV/AIDS, lack of recreational facilities, education for all and early marriages especially to the girl should be an issue on the national agenda each year. They would have to be on address with the active and full participation of children's views on these issues so that when policy is being enacted it would respond to the needs that children want not what adults believe is best for them.
- A programme of social welfare resource must be developed for all children and youth to have a monthly grant either in the form of food or in the form of money but social welfare agents must be willing to implement the programme according to areas as to be more efficient. They must also ask some parents of the child to help with monitoring of the programme so that every month a report is send to the welfare department to see if the information given is accurate and corresponds the conditions the child will be living in.
- A programme of action must be adopted by the organization that work with children and youth regarding the issue of HIV/AIDS that is because currently most initiatives are driven by government and the problem is that when the programme ends there is no report strategy to say what was good or bad about the initiative and sometimes it only reaches organizations that are in town and forget about the challenges faced by the communities in rural areas.
- Corruption should be treated as a sensitive issue as it becomes the one of the most destructive forces that government and its officials kill the country with therefore we need to have an external body that will keep checks on the government and every year the government must have national rating polls for each department and the polls must be done by communities from province to province.
- Go back to the cultural system for making the heard of the community or the chief here matters of grievance first before they can go outside the community provided the chiefs will receive education on matters of child rights, gender rights, child abuse, rape, theft and violence in the community as these are the most experienced hardships by children in the community.
- We urge parents to take responsibility in raising their children by providing information on self respect, respect for others and care for one another, this principle should also be included in schools as teachers are parents too and if teachers practice them on it is easy for us to learn the value of respect.
- Road safety and infrastructure development should be a priority for the government of Zambia in order for resource to function effectively like schools and health services etc.
