- Swaziland youth experience poverty in different forms that is for some poverty means not being able to go to school or not having access to further education. Again for some being unemployed and not having a skill more so not doing anything for yourself feeling useless is the different forms of poverty that children and youth of Swaziland live with everyday.
- Skills development centers are a great need for young people in this country the issue is that schools do not afford the kind of skills that companies want and that result in many suicides of young people who are being discriminated upon.
- We urge on more awareness and care programmes of HIV/AIDS must be initiated by government and private sectors in providing treatment and VCT to all and not just the rich and well off citizens in the country.
- Further more, a HIV/AIDS national policy must be transparent on what the state is doing currently and it must be made into an educational policy throughout the country thus more emphasis of treatment resources must be put in rural areas.
- More schools must be built in rural areas and the existing schools must have proper learning facilities like libraries and computer labs that all students can have access to and access to use them.
- We want social solidity on the resources that we are receiving as young people and therefore more response on issues of basic services that will provide visible change in our lives.
- We would like more universities to be built as more and more youth are left out because they cannot have access due to financial constraints to go further with their studies.
- Therefore, we propose that a minimal of an exit point strategy be developed where by small and medium colleges can help young people receive their final year certificate in high school and that will not be the end of their education.
- Putting emphasis on parental guidance and good leadership both in government and the traditional leadership structure to take it upon themselves to be child friendly leaders in the country.
- Business and corporate companies to provide skills in development and other business areas to young people for free as part of their social responsibility. In that way no one will be turned down when they come with a business proposal to banks and other companies.
- To make schools places of council for children in need and care and protection along with their families.
- They must also teach students to care for themselves and therefore gain concentration on building their lives without depending on the government.
- Parents must stop to undermine their children they must encourage them when they do good in school and when they are responsible with their lives.
- Drug policy must be developed, the country that protects children who have been coerced into using drugs and the government must again provide recreation for those who use drugs to rehab centers. This includes substance abuse and other forms of drug related issues.
- Poverty reduction programmes that are youth led and youth implemented should be encouraged in rural areas where we as young people come up with ways of creating employment that will provide us with skills and can be recognized by companies to partner with us in the work we will be doing at home.
