STATE OF THE SOUTH AFRICAN CHILD REPORT

Picture
Child Safety and Protection are at the core of the Fund’s SeVissa programme, which tackles sexual #violence against girls inschools.
#StateOfTheSAChildReport #NMCF
Picture
The Fund’s programme which responds to this is Child Survival and Development, which focuses on the 1st 1000 days of a child’s life.#StateOfTheSAChildReport

The State of the Child report paints a gloomy picture when it comes to malnutrition, adequate housing, proper infrastructure and the state of access to quality education. Not forgetting the uncertain safety of children in schools which is evident from primary school learners in the rural and urban areas bearing the brunt in many ways, such as lack of textbooks, registration expenses, long distances, children falling in pit latrines in schools, strange man offering poisoned sweets to school kids which led to hospitalisation of some of them, among others.
