The Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (Fund) has completed the new strategy for the period 2016 to 2021 following a comprehensive research on current issues affecting children and the youth. The Fund’s Chief Executive Officer Bongi Mkhabela has been spearheading the process of unveiling the strategy to the organisation’s stakeholders locally and internationally. Accompanied by the Fund’s Resource Mobilisation manager Mpaki Pule; they presented the Fund’s five year strategy and the organisation’s sustainable prospects.
The strategy’s focus areas have been clustered into three overarching themes for interventions:
Challenges facing children are global; hence the Fund’s historical ties with international partners to better the lives of the vulnerable children and the youth. The Board has been instrumental in fundraising in the US for the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital Trust campaign.
