We are excited to announce that our Chief Business Engagements Officer, Nomthi Mnisi, will be climbing Mount Kilamanjaro from the 3rd - 13th August 2022 in collaboration with the Imbumba Foundation's Trek 4 Mandela expedition.
Trek4Mandela is an annual expedition to summit Africa’s highest peak to honour Nelson Mandela’s living legacy that not only inspires Africans but across the globe.  The expedition was established by innovative social entrepreneur and humanitarian, Richard Mabaso and is led by renowned South African adventurer and motivational speaker, Sibusiso Vilane – the first black African to conquer the three Poles challenge: South Pole, North Pole and Mount Everest.

We Need Your Help in Raising Funds for The Trek.

All donations will go towards the children in our programmes.
Help us climb mountains so that vulnerable children don't have to.

Ready to Trek!

Ms Nomthi Mnisi
Chief Business Engagement Officer

"I enjoy chasing mountains because I feel they are closer to God. The pursuit of perspective and healing knows no bounds, and that is what I’m expecting to encounter on the mountain. I’m climbing for the vulnerable children and youth who’ve been climbing personal mountains; and I’m climbing to meet a version of myself I haven’t met before."

Wishing our Former CEO, Konehali Gugushe, a Speedy Recovery!

Picture
Our Interim CEO, Dr Stanley Maphosa on behalf of The Fund wishes former CEO of Fund, Ms Konehali Gugushe, a speedy recovery after she broke her ankle in training.

Ms Gugushe was set to join the Superwomen’s trek, as a patron of the Fund, before the injury which took place on a hiking trail on 23 July 2022.

“We know that Ms Gugushe is still an ardent supporter of this cause, and we hope that she will recover soon and continue to help us spread awareness around this initiative.”
