
Ms Moipone Nana Magomola, independent consultant and director of companies is a former Director General of the Northwest Province (Premier’s Office) and former executive at ESKOM. She is currently Chairperson of GIBB Engineering Pty Ltd and interim Chairperson Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund where she has served for over twenty (20) years. Ms Magomola has experience in corporate leadership and governance having served on Private, Public and Non-Profit Organisation boards since 1993. Boards served on include Transnet, Industrial Development Corporation, South African Weather Services (former Chair) and National Ports Authority. A seasoned businessperson and former Trustee of Rhodes University, Magomola has successfully chaired more than ten boards of varying sizes in the past twenty (15) years.
Magomola holds a BSc. degree from City University of New York, and an LLB Degree from University of Witwatersrand. She studied and worked in the USA for over six (6) years and upon return to South Africa, she continued her business career in management at Johnson & Johnson and later at MSD, both subsidiaries of America’s largest pharmaceutical companies.
- Appointment by President Mandela as a Trustee of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund (2001) where she currently acts as interim Chairperson. Later in 2013, President Mandela appointed her Deputy-Chair of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital Trust. In this role, she successfully led the team that raised One hundred Billion Rands to build the first state of the art quaternary children’s hospital in the country;

- Founder and Honorary Lifetime Member of International Women’s Forum (South Africa) (IWFSA);
- Global Director and Chairperson of Presidents of International Women’s Forum;(IWF) an organisation of world women leaders based in Washington DC. USA;
- In 2012 Nana received “WOMEN WHO MAKES A DIFFERENCE “award from by International Women’s Forum (IWF);
- Along with three other luminaries, Ms Magomola was presented the “LIFE-TIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD” by the BPI Foundation.
