Dr. Linda Ncube-Nkomo
Chief Executive Officer of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund

Dr. Linda Ncube-Nkomo is the Chief Executive Officer of the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund. She is a Chartered Accountant by profession with extensive experience in various sectors including the Development Sector, Telecommunications, Financial Services and Consulting. Over the years she has finessed her skills in Strategy Development and Implementation, Organisational Leadership, Business Development, Stakeholder Engagement as well as Project Management.


Her educational background includes a Doctorate in Business Leadership from UNISA School of Business Leadership as well as a master’s degree in the same field and institution.


She qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe in 2003 and completed her Chartered Accountant Conversion Exam at the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants the following year. She is also a member of the Institute of Directors of South Africa and is the Chairperson of the Old Mutual Foundation.

Having recently participated in the Trek4Mandela Kilimanjaro Fundraising Initiative for 2022, in an effort to raise awareness and funds for girls with limited access to menstrual hygiene, Dr Ncube-Nkomo is passionate about issues affecting the lives of women, especially those related to inequality, leadership, and advancing the role of civil society in promoting the rights of women and children in modern-day South Africa. She is a firm believer in advocating for boys and young men as they are critical role players in creating gender-equal and safe societies.


A devoted Christian, she firmly believes in teamwork, development, connectedness, and innovation. Her interests include mentoring young people, reading, and outdoor exercise. She is the mother of an adult son.
