Mr Moss Mashishi is the Executive Chairman of Mosong Capital (Pty) Ltd. He is the former Executive Chairman of Matemeku Group Pty Ltd, Chief Executive Officer of the following: Moribo Leisure (Pty) Ltd, South African Tourism and the Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development Company ( JOWSCO).
He is the current chairman of the Board of One & Only Cape Town (Pty) Ltd. He was a previously a Non-Executive Director in Ponahalo Capital, a 26% shareholder in De Beers Mining SA ( DBCM). He was also Chairman of the Assurance and Risk committee, and the Investment Committee of DBCM for almost 15 years. His other previous Non-Executive Board roles include the following companies: Ogilvy and Mather Pty Ltd (Chairman), Aristocrat South Africa Pty Ltd (Chairman), and directorships of Schindler Lifts Pty Ltd, Glenrand MIB Pty Ltd and directorships of a number of other companies.
Further he has been a trustee of the following trusts: Matemeku family Trust, Matemeku Development Trust, LoveLife Trust (Chairman), Bakwena Trust (The late Dr Sam Motsuenyane family Trust), Thabo Makgoba Trust, Bishopscourt Trust, and the Nelson Mandela Children’s Foundation.
He also serves as a member of the Convenors Committee of the NalhiSa Trust ( National Liberation Heritage Institute Of South Africa) and the Management Committee of SASSFE ( South African Solidarity Student Fund For Education Trust) and a director of the Archbishop Desmond Tutu Precinct NPO.
On the sporting front he was involved in South African non-racial Sports for over 20 years, serving as the first Secretary General of the the unified body, Tennis South Africa. He has also held the following positions; the National Executive member of the National Sports Congress ( NSC), and of the National Olympic Committee Of South Africa (NOCSA). Later he became the first President of the South African Confederation & Olympic Committee (SASCOC), a position he held until 2009. He is currently a director of Kaizer Chiefs FC and the Chairman of the Marketing Committee and a Member of the Transformation, Social Ethics and HR Committee of the Board.
He is a recipient of the following awards: 2000/2001 FEDHASA Leadership Award, 2002 Tribute Business Leadership Award and 2003 IPM Presidential Leadership Award.
